Skips: Yes, I'd say it's "desolée" if you're a girl. And don't worry, I understand you perfectly. (BTW, when I said "plus april" I meant "plus ta-rd", with no dash. The forum system autocorrects it, I don't know why. Is it a swear word or something? XD) I'm sorry about your teacher being so awful. Mine made Latin boring sometimes, too. You can always try and learn some German on your own -- I learned a BUNCH of English words, structures, etc. by surfing the Internet and watching videos. Curiosity and practice are the key! chutkat: Sí; de hecho, soy española. Carotius: Hi! You are really a music guy, aren't you? That's amazing! ...I'm a female XD But yes,I really do find joy in music, and I owe it to my late grandfather who started my love for it.

Curiosity and practice are the key! ;) That's good c: Heh, I'd really like to have a talent for languages like you, but I'm honestly not much good at them! Hmm... Well 'ta-rd' is the end of a swearword and another offensive word but it's also the end of mustard. As far as I know, it's not a swearword by itself... I have no clue why they would have banned it? Re isn't banned is it...? And neither is bas... :S (Ah, sorry for the implied swearword there, any admin looking at this) Yeah, I have taught myself a bit of German, like I've learnt a considerable amount of my French online by myself, but not much! I think I'd be fluent in an extremely (and by extremely I mean extremely) basic conversation. The grammar is so complicated that I think there would be no hope for me to learn anything even a little complicated T_T But German is very fun to speak, even if I probably say everything with the most ridiculous accent ever XD Also, how do you tag people? Haha, sorry, all this time on the forum and I still don't know XD

Yeah I don't mind at all! :D Would you like me to translate my other French reply back into English or something? I mean, you can follow our conversation if you'd like! And yeah I misspelt ecossais by accident -.- That means Scottish. And by college I actually meant secondary school/high school c: I can't put the accent on the e that I would like -.- ecris is meant to have an accent on the e too, it means write (Also can anyone who speaks French better than me tell me if I'm getting desolee (as in 'sorry' right? or is it desole, even if you're a girl? :/ I know it's je suis desolee if you're a girl but...? Confusing! XD obviously all of that is with accents on the e ) You speak French, too? :D No i cant speak french all i now is bonjour je suis desolee is im sorry and what you said and other stuff.... like potato Haha! Well, bonjour is a start! What languages can you speak? I only know English T_T I feel so inadequate Well I can add to that, that Hiccup and Toothless in French are Harold and Krokmou ouo

Hello all! ShadowFall my dragon thought I was being too shy and thinks I should post here. I usually fairly quiet, but can talk a lot about things I love, dragons being one of them. I'm a college graduate(you're never too old for fun!) and have a job working with animals which I love. Mostly when I'm not working or trying to control my two new kittens, I'm usually playing video games, reading, or writing my own stories and roleplays. That's pretty much the basics. (I hope you're happy Shadow!) Looking forward to meeting some of you around the board! Oh my gosh, you sound really similar to me! (except I'm not quiet) Guess I should say Hi back, and welcome to the forums! And kittens are so cute, but hard to control. But if you cuddle them enough they'll be really soppy and cuddly. Hehe.

Well, here goes nothing... I'm the Cartographer, from a small town located in the Northwest of Portugal, in a region that resembles very much a frying pan. And believe me, with temperatures rising up to 45ºC, it pretty much feels like you're being nicely fried XD. Anyway, to support Shion about fandom-obsessed people, I too am a "veteran" fan of HTTYD, in fact I'll be 21 by November this year. I just graduated in Biology, my lifelong dream, and should everything go well, I'll be studying for a Masters Degree in Animal Behaviour, to study, no, not dragons unfortunately, but everything living animal I get to see. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the moment. For music, I listen a lot of different things, opera (Rigoletto!!!), classical (Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Dvorak, Mussorgsky, etc), rock, punk rock, heavy metal, death metal, pop rock, folk, celtic and so on. I have a very hard time when I go to a music shop. As for books, I have read a lot of stuff, mostly fantasy though, but lately I haven't been able to find anything that really takes a hold of me, so I began writing my own book. I have been writing poetry and small stories as a hobby for years now, though I am not good at it, I still keep on doing it I like sports, though not the usual, soccer, basketball, baseball, etc. I prefer swimming, running, rockclimbing, and above all else, martial arts. I have been practicing karate for the past 9 years and everyday I love it even more. So, to end this, I am very close to nature, I have always been and I guess some of the wilderness has rubbed off on me, so I tend to be a bit of an introvert. Other than that I work very hard, am very stubborn and though sometimes I come through as cold, thats just until I get to know people. Then I turn completely annoying XD

No problem! Nope, sorry (I've never actually heard of the first two you mentioned but I did have a DA for a while when I was like 11-13-ish.) Oh, awesome, I'll be sure to check them out! I would really like to be an artsy person because I super enjoy the arts but I just don't have the talent for any of it XD I mean, I play the piano and sing but I'm not very good at those and as I said I'm awful at drawing ^^; And that's a lot of instruments! How long did it take to learn all those?? I hardly have enough time for one XD (I would love to be either of those too but I'll probably just end up working in a supermarket XD) Well be wary of any of those places I mentioned, you might end up seeing things you might rather not see, (This is a long and pointless way of saying they allow NSFW stuff) Either way. As for learning all that, its pretty easy once you learn the very basics of how stringed interments work, A good way to look at it is learning how a game system works, and then learning the finer details of different games. once you get the basic idea of how it works its just fine tuning (hurdur puns) to fit the differences, As for Time frame, I learned to play the viola in elementary, the bass and cello (and relearned viola..) in middle school and went "freelance" on whatever I got my paws on from 16 and up on the ren circuit which is how I got mandolin and dulcimer *i can also play a mean kazoo) I have no idea if t hat made any sense, I'm sick as swamp lately and on cold meds, so not so much braining to be done Oh my gosh! I completely missed this reply! I'm so sorry ^^; Yeah, I used to use Tumblr all the time, NSFW stuff really can't be avioided when you go on those sorts of websites XD Haha, you making it sound like that makes me think I might be able to learn the organ! (I can't, you have to play with your feet and read three different... Gah forgotten the word! Things at the same time and I can't even read two -.- I struggle with one!) Oh, are you still ill? D: Get well soon if you are!

Other than that I work very hard, am very stubborn and though sometimes I come through as cold, thats just until I get to know people. Then I turn completely annoying XD Woah! Long introduction! Nice to meet you though, I'm sure you can figure out who I am from my signature c; 45?!! I... I thought 25 was hot!! (Stupid England!) Well, I am younger than you, but still obsessed with HTTYD and that is all I will disclose XD Woah! That's cool! So you're really clever then, right? I am awful at science, as with most things, and Biology is probably my worst one >u< (Well, other than Chemistry) I hope everything does go well for you! Same here, I like almost all music! Apart from Nicki Minaj... -.- Oh, and most other wrappers. But yeah, I have everything from Green Day to Vivaldi to Hatsune Miku ouo That's cool! Personally, I would love to write a book, but I have a too short attention span so I just get bored! I settle for reading lots of fanfiction instead. Haha! That's really awesome! Sports are the thing that above all else, I cannot do, but I'm okay at climbing although I never do it. I personally hate both swimming and running, though - I think I'm too lazy for either! But I used to ice skate, and I'm going to be learning to ski before I go on a skiing trip to Austria next year, so hooray for staying at least a little fit! Well, that's one thing that we're both, then! Annoying! *high ten* >u<

Skips: Well, grammar will always be grammar. I mean, I have some doubts about Spanish grammar myself sometimes and it's my mother tongue! Just take baby steps, you'll eventually internalize at least the most important stuff. Oh, the tag thing is easy peasy -- just type @ right before the name. @ Skips -> SkipsCarotius: Oops! Sorry, I didn't notice that the viking on your picture was a female. A music girl, then? cartographer: Olà! Your degree sounds so interesting! I would have probably gone for Biology, had I been a bit more interested in sciency stuff.

Wow, there's a lot of people introducing themselves and I haven't yet... Hoo boy, oh well, let's try shall we?
I'm Symrea, I have a Viking called Risuki and her Monstrous Nightmare Starfall, who is a grey blue colour.
Firstly I love animals. I have three chickens, one cat, one dog, two rabbits, an outdoor fish pond, indoor marine tank, a firebellied newt (who is called Toothless!) and a hamster. I also ride, and have been for the past 7 years. I adore animals of most kinds, but my favourite three groups are canines, felines and equines.
Secondly, I love dragons. I have a series of seven books that I'm writing that are almost exclusively about dragons, albeit they're very different from the ones that most people know. I've finished one book and almost finished another, but I need to re-write the first book as its got a lot of old text within it. I have an OC who has been my character ever since I was 10 years of age. I read the How to train you Dragon books almost the day they came out, and read lots of other dragon related books such as Dragonrider and Eragon.
Thirdly, I'm a novice artist. Despite having been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil, I still am not that good at it, but simply trying to improve. I haven't really found my style yet, but I can do traditional, digital, literary (both stories and poetry), 2D animation and pixeling. (Most of those I'm terrible at.) I have a DeviantART (I know its full of stupid drama, but I've not had the stick to move to another site) and a Tumblr. (which I never use because I was mentally scarred there...)

I've never met you before! My name is Skips! What an interesting sounding house! I'd love to live there. Wow, I like dragons too! We are so similar, it's like we're sisters or something?! I would love to see some of your art. I don't think I've seen it around before? And I never knew that you liked dragons. Or wrote books! Have you been to France before? I've been there. From Skips. Who totally has never met you before.

Skips: Oh my, thank you! Well, English is taught here as an obligatory subject from primary school until high school/sixth form, but progressing very slowly. Besides, teachers pretty much focus on grammar; so in the end you learn, say, every use of Present Simple, but you can't really keep a basic conversation. True story. :/ So my level improved when I was about 12 and began surfing "the English side" of Internet: I read English texts about my interests, communicated with other people on English-speaking sites, listened to English songs (and my love for The Beatles was discovered)... Little by little and checking dictionaries many a time, I learned new words, expressions, pronunciations and so on. That's why I highly recommend you learning German on your own -- I personally find it a more effective (and fun!) method than classes or courses. I'm trying to repeat this learning process with French. I must admit, though, that I do need to check the dictionary most of the time when writing (sometimes I don't know the translation of a word, other times I just want to make sure my guess was right 'cause I'm a hopeless perfectionist ) and still have some trouble understanding native speakers' uttered words and, for lack of practice, speaking myself.

And they almost never give us teachers who are actually completely fluent in the language they're teaching -.- Yeah, I've wanted to do that for a while with French, but I'm scared people will be like 'Wow, you're so dumb, you speak like a primary school kid' or something T_T Mind telling me where the 'French side of the internet' is, too? ouo Ah, same for me with French, so don't worry c: And I'm worse at French than you are!
