Might as well, Names Maire, Or Mortis, or Lady..any of these work really I'm 25 Year old from Texas, Professional Artist, been doing digital art for the past ten years, dabble in animation and 3d modeling though that's more my husbands bit, husband is a coder and a game developer. Ah that's about it really. Hi there! Welcome~ My name is Skips, and I'm the Home Repair Viking around here ouo Woah. o_o That's a lot of arty and stuff! I wish I was as talented as you and your husband but the skills of drawing and computer-ing? are some of the many that defy me XD Although my sister is a quite talented artist and my father sometimes does computer stuff for the royal navy >u< It is certainly a huge pleasure to meet you! And I hope the forum will be seeing some of your art (or has seen it?) soon! |

Well, I'll go ahead and introduce myself. Hi! I'm The Joshinator, and I'm not exactly your average dragon trainer (if there even is such a thing...). The name comes from my 8th-grade class-rep campaign poster, which was the cover for The Terminator with my face photoshopped on; it's been my online moniker ever since. Anyways, a bit more about me besides my name. I'm American born and bred, age 19 (reppin' the older players!), a lifelong Christian, employed as a CNC machinist with a firearms manufacturer, have no background in the arts or graphic design whatsoever (more of a math/physics/engineering guy) and have never actually played an online RPG before. I have, however, fallen head-over-heels in love with the HTTYD franchise. Seen the movie, shorts and the series, tracking down the third book, and eagerly awaiting the future movies and series. I'm a sucker for a good underdog story, and besides, who doesn't love a tale of dragons and Vikings? I think Dreamworks hit it out of the ballpark and made something that is attractive to a broad audience, but even aimed at a younger group I think the books have a compelling story. The game is great IMHO because I get to live in that world instead of just having it narrated to me. In game, I have a couple different faces. You may see me around as Magnus, followed faithfully by my Gronckle, Slugbug. I might also make an appearance as Hammerstein, being chased around by (and occasionally riding... ;-D) a Monstrous Nightmare named Maceforge. A Jekyll and Hyde duality, if you will, and you wouldn't believe how long it took to come up with those names! XD Side note: Shoutout to the dev team, they really feel like two totally different characters, not the same dragon with different skins. Not sure how you program a personality into a computer program, but nice job! Anyway, that's enough about me for now. Work comes early in the mornings... Looking forward to hanging out with you guys! :-D Heyyyylo there~! Sure is a cool name ya got there, The Joshinator (Or can I call you Joshi? Or just Joshinator?)! I wish there was such a swell story behind what people know me as, but sadly, I've got nothing c: I'm Skips, the Home Repair Viking! (And my Nadder is called Park - You might see us in game as a girl with turquoise hair and a blue-ish grey and orange dragon. But not until I'm back from France in a few day's time) Right with you there on the love for HTTYD. Have loved it even before the movie was in development! (Although I can't help but prefer the movie over the books, it's just too fabulous for its own good.) So that means you make guns, right? I apoligise for my cluelessness on the subject of weapons and warfare but may I add that my father currently works as a Staff Weapons Engineering Officer (or SWEO for short) for the Royal Navy? (British born and bred here - but not English! Half Scottish, half English c:) I'm not too sure what that means exactly, but he engineers weapons! Same here, Joshinator! Is always great to see new faces around the forum. |

From Portal to Skyrim, I love 'em all. My favorite kind, however, are RPG's or MMORPG's. I like baking, dancing, singing, writing stories, cosplay, and movies/TV. Thanks for the warm welcome, You might have seen me about on art sites like weasyl and fur affinity (though I have long abandoned that rat hole like I have DA ) but otherwise I have some very crappy late night sketches of Pheonia and Mers up on the "you and your dragon" Board in Fan art, Oh yeah I'm on tumblr too, though lately thats been less art more random rage stuff And yeah I'm a very Artsy person, I play like all the strings (Viola, some violin, Stand up Bass, cello, Dulcimer, Mandolin..oddly I have no talent for the guitar..) As well as a wanna be opera/musical theater singer..Renaissance faire actor, (or booth scum haha..actually more eccentric booth scum then actress..) basically my muse a very ADD fellow, he wants to do all the things aka "Jack of all trades Master of none" (Edited for being post button happy) |

Guess it's my turn. I'm Vim, and I'm a 15 year old guy with a strange obsession with HTTYD. Not many others my age and gender share the interest with me haha. That's why I'm glad this forum his here! So I can talk to others like me!
I like reading and writing. I also like playing video games, but i also like doing stuff outside. I like hiking with my dogs and picking berries and such. My little sisters mean the world to me. And I guess that's it.

Nope, sorry (I've never actually heard of the first two you mentioned but I did have a DA for a while when I was like 11-13-ish.) Oh, awesome, I'll be sure to check them out! I would really like to be an artsy person because I super enjoy the arts but I just don't have the talent for any of it XD I mean, I play the piano and sing but I'm not very good at those and as I said I'm awful at drawing ^^; And that's a lot of instruments! o_o How long did it take to learn all those?? I hardly have enough time for one XD (I would love to be either of those too but I'll probably just end up working in a supermarket XD) |
