Well, here goes nothing... I'm the Cartographer, from a small town located in the Northwest of Portugal, in a region that resembles very much a frying pan. And believe me, with temperatures rising up to 45ºC, it pretty much feels like you're being nicely fried XD. Anyway, to support Shion about fandom-obsessed people, I too am a "veteran" fan of HTTYD, in fact I'll be 21 by November this year. I just graduated in Biology, my lifelong dream, and should everything go well, I'll be studying for a Masters Degree in Animal Behaviour, to study, no, not dragons unfortunately, but everything living animal I get to see. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the moment. For music, I listen a lot of different things, opera (Rigoletto!!!), classical (Mozart, Beethoven, Rachmaninov, Dvorak, Mussorgsky, etc), rock, punk rock, heavy metal, death metal, pop rock, folk, celtic and so on. I have a very hard time when I go to a music shop. As for books, I have read a lot of stuff, mostly fantasy though, but lately I haven't been able to find anything that really takes a hold of me, so I began writing my own book. I have been writing poetry and small stories as a hobby for years now, though I am not good at it, I still keep on doing it I like sports, though not the usual, soccer, basketball, baseball, etc. I prefer swimming, running, rockclimbing, and above all else, martial arts. I have been practicing karate for the past 9 years and everyday I love it even more. So, to end this, I am very close to nature, I have always been and I guess some of the wilderness has rubbed off on me, so I tend to be a bit of an introvert. Other than that I work very hard, am very stubborn and though sometimes I come through as cold, thats just until I get to know people. Then I turn completely annoying XD Woah! Long introduction! Nice to meet you though, I'm sure you can figure out who I am from my signature c; 45?!! I... I thought 25 was hot!! (Stupid England!) Well, I am younger than you, but still obsessed with HTTYD and that is all I will disclose XD Woah! That's cool! So you're really clever then, right? I am awful at science, as with most things, and Biology is probably my worst one >u< (Well, other than Chemistry) I hope everything does go well for you! Same here, I like almost all music! Apart from Nicki Minaj... -.- Oh, and most other wrappers. But yeah, I have everything from Green Day to Vivaldi to Hatsune Miku ouo That's cool! Personally, I would love to write a book, but I have a too short attention span so I just get bored! I settle for reading lots of fanfiction instead. Haha! That's really awesome! Sports are the thing that above all else, I cannot do, but I'm okay at climbing although I never do it. I personally hate both swimming and running, though - I think I'm too lazy for either! But I used to ice skate, and I'm going to be learning to ski before I go on a skiing trip to Austria next year, so hooray for staying at least a little fit! Well, that's one thing that we're both, then! Annoying! *high ten* >u< I wouldn't say clever, but I am awfully curious XD About writing a book, why not write something that just never stops? Not all books need long and exhaustive decriptions, or deep dialogues. Some of the best books I've read were simple, but I felt my mind running just to keep up with all that was going on. I never tried ski, but I learned snowboarding on my holidays at Sierra Nevada in Spain, and it was awesome! Annoying people of the world, raise thy hands! =D

Wow, there's a lot of people introducing themselves and I haven't yet... Hoo boy, oh well, let's try shall we? I'm Symrea, I have a Viking called Risuki and her Monstrous Nightmare Starfall, who is a grey blue colour. Firstly I love animals. I have three chickens, one cat, one dog, two rabbits, an outdoor fish pond, indoor marine tank, a firebellied newt (who is called Toothless!) and a hamster. I also ride, and have been for the past 7 years. I adore animals of most kinds, but my favourite three groups are canines, felines and equines. Secondly, I love dragons. I have a series of seven books that I'm writing that are almost exclusively about dragons, albeit they're very different from the ones that most people know. I've finished one book and almost finished another, but I need to re-write the first book as its got a lot of old text within it. I have an OC who has been my character ever since I was 10 years of age. I read the How to train you Dragon books almost the day they came out, and read lots of other dragon related books such as Dragonrider and Eragon. Thirdly, I'm a novice artist. Despite having been drawing ever since I could pick up a pencil, I still am not that good at it, but simply trying to improve. I haven't really found my style yet, but I can do traditional, digital, literary (both stories and poetry), 2D animation and pixeling. (Most of those I'm terrible at.) I have a DeviantART (I know its full of stupid drama, but I've not had the stick to move to another site) and a Tumblr. (which I never use because I was mentally scarred there...) The simple fact you have a Monstrous Nightmare is great. The fact s/he is grey blue is amazing. And last, but not least, the fact her name is Starfall is... wonderful. Allow me to explain why: I have a viking, whose is Thurin, and his dragon is a midnight blue (with light blue belly) Monstrous Nightmare named Starfire I also love animals, I have a Pointer hound, (she's a girl, but I doubt the forum will allow me to use the tecnical term for the female dog xD). At my farm I have eight chickens, two geese and used to have four rabbits, but well, it happened what usually happens to farm animals. I never had fish tanks or hamsters or even birds, because I had a cat, though he died a couple of years ago. The animals I like the most, I would say, like you, canines and felines, as equines I unfortunately never had much contact with. But I am fascinated by birds. And to my family's and friends' grief, I love bats, reptiles, insects and spiders. Especially spiders XD About the books you're writing, I wish you the best of luck. Tell me when they get published - when, not if, I know you can do it - I'll gladly buy and read them. Now, I don't mean to brag, but I am quite confident I'm terrible at drawing. I try though, it helps me envision the scenes and characters for my books. If only my hands could keep up with my imagination!!!

Skips: Well, grammar will always be grammar. I mean, I have some doubts about Spanish grammar myself sometimes and it's my mother tongue! Just take baby steps, you'll eventually internalize at least the most important stuff. Oh, the tag thing is easy peasy -- just type @ right before the name. @ Skips -> SkipsCarotius: Oops! Sorry, I didn't notice that the viking on your picture was a female. A music girl, then? cartographer: Olà! Your degree sounds so interesting! I would have probably gone for Biology, had I been a bit more interested in sciency stuff. Olá Angie! Well it was very much interesting, the only problem now is that is taugh me so much about so many things that I am afraid that, even if I should live to three-hundred it wouldn't be enough time to learn it all. So I guess I'll just learn a little bit of it

I try though, it helps me envision the scenes and characters for my books. If only my hands could keep up with my imagination!!! Oh awesome! Someone has dragon-style! Heh. Ooh I didn't actually know what a pointer hound looked like (google to the rescue) but I should have put two and two together. It's a beautiful breed! You're lucky you have a big dog. I really want a big dog. You have a farm?! Eee awesome! (If you're a farmer you're going to have to tell me exactly what it's like, all working details, since I am thinking about going into farming, but I'd like to know what I'm getting into) I'd love to have more chickens (just have some hybrids since I'm a starter, a leghorn, Sussex and maran) so what's it like looking after eight of them? And geese, they're cute too! That's a shame you've not had much contact with horses, they are fantastic and very intelligent. They're good because when you stroke or ride them it causes people to release endorphins which is calming and can reduce the likelyhood of getting heart attacks and stress! (But then again, that's like with a lot of mammalian creatures) I love birds and bats as well. (Wannabe falconer) There was a place selling fruit bats, but they sold out. I would have gotten one otherwise. And when I was working there they had two parrots (Blue Macaw and African grey) I spent so much time with them that the blue macaw became best friends with me and I could stroke him (he didn't let anyone else do that) and he would dance as soon as I came into the room. It was so funny to see that! And I like reptiles (particularly snakes and crocodiles) because I got to feed some snakes (a couple of them were so vicious! Taiwanese beauty snake especially so...) and I used to watch Steve Irwin a lot when I was younger (Now it's Steve Backshall, who isn't as crazy but is still awesome) but I'm big so fond of insects. I have no problems with beetles, spiders, bees and caterpillars, but I hate ants, flies and parasites. And thank you! I do hope to get them published, but it's a big world out there and I'm not sure how to start with the publishers...

I have no problems with beetles, spiders, bees and caterpillars, but I hate ants, flies and parasites. And thank you! I do hope to get them published, but it's a big world out there and I'm not sure how to start with the publishers... I am no expert on farming, I can't really tell you details like when to plant seeds or when to apply some products like pesticides, but I am used to harvesting. Olives and grapes mainly, since it's the majority of the crops I grow. We also make olive oil and wine. It's so much fun to step on the grapes XD (though I don't drink wine) It really is unfortunate, I've always been curious about horses, but in my region there are very few. There a lot more cows, sheep and goats, which I think are quite cute, but it's not the same. I knew about the endorphins, I have a friend I met in college who has a riding school and she used to talk to me about how they gave lessons and therapy for mentally impaired children. It's amazing I have never worked in pet shop, only because there are none in my town, but I would love to. And the closest I've been to snakes was when I was crossing the bridge and saw a snake swimming, so I immidiately ran down to the river and caught it. It was less that half a meter long, but it was simply adorable. And about parasites...I'm not too fond of mosquitoes for the most part. I am fully aware of their importance, but I can't help myself from squashing them at sight XD. The rest of the lot are all lovely. As for Steve Irwin...I miss him, he was crazy but his passion is still an inspiration. Backshall, I haven't seen that much, but his participation in the Bosavi crater expedition was truly something else. Well, it is true, it's a big world out there. Which means there must be someone who'd be willing to publish your books . My advice (I hope you won't find me brazen) is to go for it and try. Do some research for publishers near you, or even try emailing another writer. What matters is never to give up.

Hello! I'm Shardas, just recently started SoD a week ago and played through everything free (so far...). I came across the game lurking in another forums in a section I seldom went, but I'm very active in that forums. I have an art thread there, and may contemplate on creating one here for you peeps. Hmm, what else... I'm from Singapore, am in Year 2 polytechnic (pre-university) studying Pharmaceutical Sciences. The course is rather tough, and there's a huge responsibility in what we are learning from what I gather from our lecturers; any errors we make may cost the patient their lives. Eh, I'm not sure what to say so... Arts? Don't steal them please, it's for another user (she's famous in deviantArt too).

Hi! My forum name is (obviously) Pepper Potts, from my favorite female character in Marvel. But, I don't really have any normal online alias so you can call me Pepper, if you'd like, or just Susie, my real name. In-game, I'm also PepperPotts. Let's see... I'm sixteen, huge supporter of feminism and happy rights, and I live on the East Coast. I own a horse named Baloo, and one year we dressed up with a friend as Toothless, Hiccup, and Astrid for a costume class (I'm Astrid). image is too big for forum . I'm a big fan of Marvel (comics and films), and another movie that recently came out, Pacific Rim. (Big fan is an understatement for both.) My favorite books are The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley, and The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater. I'm a dork and named my dragon Tony. He's a monstrous nightmare, with the typical red and yellow belly, though I originally intended it to look like the Iron Man suit (it doesn't). Not sure what else to write, so there ya go.

Post by Psycho on Sept 5, 2013 14:59:59 GMT -8
Name's Psycho. Don't ask. It's been a nickname of mine for going on 10 years. Started the game over the weekend for fun and just found a link to this forum on the website. Figured I'd give it a try. Haven't been a member of a forum-based site in what feels like ages.
For those you saying your "too old" for HTTYD, don't worry about it. I'm 22 and a nutcase for this movie.
I'm more into RPG games than MMOs, so this is kinda new grounds for me. Never been a big fan of dealing with other players while I try and complete quests or get through a dungeon. Much prefer storylines, but this has been nice so far. And I think I'm addicted to farming. Is that bad?
Been a fan of series since shortly after it hit theaters in the states. Met my best friend over at another forum-based site in a Role-Play based off of the movie and I guess you could say I got addicted. And we've been good buddies ever since.
Recently picked up the HTTYD book series for fun. I'll admit I was a bit tentative at first due to the low reading level, but they turned out to be pretty awesome. I'm actually about the start the fourth one, which I think is How To Cheat a Dragon's Curse. My friend has spoiled a lot of the series for me, but I'm still interested enough to keep reading them.
I'm not really sure what else to say about myself. I'm a former college student currently on the hunt for a job. I don't read anywhere near as much as I used to, but I do still Role-Play on occasion. I love to write but hate to let people read it, so that's a bit of a conundrum I have to deal with. I'm terrible at just about any physical activity you can think of. I also have this bad habit of looking at just about anything and somehow finding a way to relate it to HTTYD.
