Okay, I know I mentioned this in a different thread, but I wanted to make a completely new thread about it for some weird reason. Anyway, here's my idea for what I call 'What's Wrong with Toothless?'
You've just reached level [insert extremely high level here], and you're told to go speak to Hiccup by the Flight Club. As you glide down on your dragon, you notice that Toothless is gone, and Hiccup looks worried. You touch down in front of him, and begin to talk with Hiccup. He immediately begins telling you his problem, saying, "Have you seen Toothless lately?" You shake your head. "He's been acting very strange lately. He disappeared again today, just like he has been for almost a week. Every time I feed him a basket of fish, he eats half of it, then runs off with the rest towards the Wilderness. At first I had only thought he was just helping another dragon or something, but each time he disappears, I start to worry a little more. Now I'm sure that something's wrong. Yesterday, Astrid said she saw him climbing up to a cave high up in the Wilderness with a basket of fish in his mouth. I tried to fly up there with him, but as we were approaching the cave he veered right off back towards the School. Don't even suggest I climb up there like Astrid did. It must be a thousand feet off the ground, and the walls are extremely slick. Since you have a dragon of your own, I was wondering if you could check it out for me."
You then accept the quest and fly to the said cave, which is so high up you wonder if Hiccup wasn't exaggerating about it's height. As you enter the cave, you soon reach a fork in the path. In the center of the fork is a plaque that reads, "A wild Monstrous Nightmare is on a rampage. Upon seeing you, it extinguishes itself and begins to approach menacingly. What do you do?"
a. Extend your hands calmly and completely trust the dragon. Turn Left.
b. Pin its head to the ground. Turn Right.
Anyone who's watched Heather Report Parts one and two knows to pin its head to the ground.
Anyway, there would be many riddles such as this, and one wrong answer would lead you to more riddles and eventually back to the beginning, so you'd have no idea where you made the mistake. The cave's paths would regenerate randomly each time you enter the cave so that someone couldn't just look up a Youtube video on how to get through it. Anyway, you soon reach the end of the cave.
The end of the cave is a large room. In the center is a large stone nest filled with eggs. Next to the nest is a large pile of fish, on the other side a deep hot spring for hatching the eggs (Watch Gift of the Night Fury). On the opposite side from the cave is a large hole filled with rocks. Curled around the eggs protectively is Toothless. Suddenly, the rocks in the hole are vaporized by a huge blast of plasma, and another Night Fury flies in. Recognizing you as friends, Toothless tries unsuccessfully to calm the other Night Fury down. As it prepares another blast, you and your dragon fly out of the other entrance.
You quickly report to Hiccup, telling him what happened. Upon hearing your report, he says, "Thanks for solving that for me, [insert viking name here]. If I'd known that he was just trying to protect me from his mate, I wouldn't have bothered him so much." You then receive a boatload of exp for both you and your dragon, but instead of gold, you get a free viking slot that has the option to hatch a Night Fury.
Upon entering the hatchery with the new account and you take the test, Hiccup calls you to come to the back of the hatchery. The dragon stone at the back of the hatchery isn't there, with a long tunnel where it should have been. Hiccup is standing next to it. When you talk to him, he says, "Hey, [insert new viking name here]! Your friend [insert old viking name here] has discovered Toothless's nest. As I was wondering who to give them to, I decided I'd ask him. He mentioned you, so here you go! Your very own Night Fury if you want it." Upon hatching the egg, you can customize it's eye color and pick its color from shades of dark blue. After that, you get to raise it!
That's my idea for implementing Night Furies. What do you think?
