Even though these are good ideas, it's up to dreamworks to add night furies or not, which I hope they do, not because of SoD, but because night furies are awesome and have a really different design compared to other dragons. But yeah, the thing I fear most is they make toothless the only night fury, but that wouldn't make sense because: 1: the earth is huge, so maybe night furies are not from berk 2: toothless will eventually die and will haff no children  And maybe they will do a king fu panda type thing, or they might just leave it unanswered, which I would be ok with. |

I like this idea, its a pretty good way to put Night Furies into the game. Still, we need to first find out if there are more. Dreamworks usually describes night furies like this "they are fast fliers,extremely dangerous..etc" not " toothless is very fast, breathes plasma... Etc" I know it's a small thing but yeah... And also, maybe there are more, but maybe they will leave it unanswered, and If there are more night furies, I'm pretty sure they won't even show them often, because toothless is the "mascot" night fury and everyone focuses on him. and I didn't hate on you D: u had sick ideas |

I like this idea, its a pretty good way to put Night Furies into the game. Still, we need to first find out if there are more. Reasons why your idea was different than this 1) Member only thing: this was a HUGE disadvantage to the non-members and got some of your hate there as well 2) Given out like prizes: The nest had only 100 eggs so it was like "Congrats! You got here in time! Here is your NF!" 3) Refilled at a certain time: once it was gone it took a long time to refill THIS thread however, made it very difficult to get the eggs, however they were for everyone, they were unlimited, and they weren't given out like prizes. However, Brynjolf already said that NF's would not be implemented but they told us to suggest ways to interact with toothless more....which brings me to the idea I had in the previous page: We use Alvin from the previous thread as a bad guy to steal dragons or do something that will affect the citizens of berk. Then Hiccup will send us off with Toothless as he will need to go help Stoick or something. We then use Toothless to stop Alvin and get the dragons back. This "quest" is repeatable and we can keep doing it Obviously, it's just a rough outline of the quest but all-in-all I think it solves our problem ^^ |

plus a dragon with such a cool design, shouldnt be wasted on only one of them
plus toothless wasn't supposed to be this OP, he is just technically "the first trained night fury"
so hiccup was "the first to tame a night fury' so it kinda still makes toothless special

I think this is the best way, as sad as it is, Toothless wont be the same if he is not the only one. Plus, they don't describe toothless as the only night fury in the show, plus it seems like night furies have attacked other places before they trained dragons, like Dagur's island, but they just never have seen it up close. |

I don't want start a riot or anything, but Toothless is...well, Toothless, just like Stormfly or any other dragon. Each one is unique, because of their own personality.
However, yes, though Toothless is a special case, being the only known Nightfury, even if he weren't, I don't think that would diminish him at all.
Besides, we are begining to drift away from the topic about the Nightfury quest, where we might, as the admins have said, interact more with Toothless. Whether or not there will be more NFs isn't really up to us, but to Dreamworks and the truth is that, whatever the outcome, there will always be mixed feelings or contradicting opinions.

I agree with you about toothless cartographer, but he is also special because, 1: I'm pretty sure he is the first trained dragon and 2: I am pretty sure he s the first trained night fury, and he is also the first night fury seen up close. it also seems like Dreamworks would cheer us up about some things like this, like at the end of Kung fu panda 2 (SPOILERS: when u find out there are more pandas) Because I recently noticed when I watched Kung fu panda that Po was the only panda kinda like how I noticed toothless was the only night fury on Berk when I watched httyd for the first time. But that might not go for httyd though, I'm hoping they leave it unanswered at least, so the fans could decide if there are more night furies. I'm totally fine with more toothless related things, I love toothless, he is an awesome night fury, but a dragon with such a unique design shouldn't be wasted on only one of them. (Sry if that sounds kinda selfish) But for toothless suggestions, one of them I thought of was maybe toothless gets a different tail fin, maybe a SoD colored one? Not the greatest idea, but it's a start  |

Maybe have a special DREAM area where first up it is a mission where a dragon has the ability to put people and dragons to sleep (starts by hiccup just being to get to you and explain to you quick what has happened before falling asleep himself) and that we must get in but be able to get out at will (maybe a special rock or stone) and when we enter, instead of our dragon you get a night fury (since everyone "dreams" of having a night fury) and must do good fighting and maneuvering and defeat the big bad guy. but when you finish the quest you can actually go back to the dream world and hatch a night fury there and interact with it's own version of the islands but like in real life, you can't sleep forever, so allow like a 5-9 hour limit in the dream and have to wait 15 hours before you can go in again.

i think the reason ppl want night furies in SoD is because there is only 1 legit game where you could actually customize your own night fury, so there are not much options out there..
