I doubt Dreamworks would just peace off all the Night Furies, without even telling us that there might be more. Plus, if Toothless were to die, there would be no more night furies, and I dont think Dreamworks, or anybody would like that.

um you do know animals go extinct every once in a while right? what if Toothless actually is the only Night Fury? I doubt it too but you never know. I also believe that if they do make the quest as jibley said I don't think hiccup would be so calm about Toothless being a dad...  The thing is we don't KNOW this for SURE. You could very well be right but its doubtful as there are SO many different things that could happen if Toothless WASN'T the only NF. It'd be a depressing episode if they said: "Nope. We can't find any NF's, you're the last one bud." Not only would this be depressing but it would freak Toothless out a bit. BUT the chances are he ISN'T the only NF for the reasons people have already mentioned ie territorial, only on berk, parents are somewhere else, etc |

I read this whole thing from top to bottom, and it's amazing!
I was thinking, assuming that after completing the quest we are given a new viking slot, then, based on the Isle of the Night idea (THANK YOU JIBLEY!!), how about the new viking could, obviously get aroung berk, the school and the wildy, however, while s/he was there, the Nightfury wouldn't. There would still be some quests to do, as well as fishing and farming, however only at the Isle would it be possible to be with the Nightfury, and complete a different, though equivalent, set of quests. Although we couldn't ride anywhere else, at the Isle it would be possible to do so without limitations.
Also (this is for nightfurymaster, mastermind of this great idea =) ), how about upon entering the hatchery for the "choice" of the dragon with the new viking, Hiccup would be there waiting, and would take to her/him to the Isle, for the first time, to take an egg and hatch it there.

Does a buff that only allows you to be with it for 1 hour ring a bell? But would that apply to the new viking, or to the one that completed the quest? Assuming we are talking about the new viking slot, then what would you do the remaining time if you wanted to play for a longer time, say for farming or mini-games? If, on the other hand, we are talking about a viking that already has a dragon, it doesn't feel right to leave your dragon at home just to go for a ride on the nightfury. Because in this case, it might be better to have a different sort of thing, like a mini-game where you team up with Toothless to help Hiccup or something like that, since you will only be able to ride it for an hour. |

That said, it is unlikely we'll be seeing new Night Furies in the game in the near future. However, we are brainstorming more ways for our players to interact with Toothless and are thinking of new quests, Flight Club levels, and more that would allow you to play with him. Please send us your suggestions for more ways of interacting with Toothless. Perhaps we can focus our energies on these types of new features for the game rather than trying to own a Night Fury. That would really help our team bring you Toothless-focused updates!

One of our top priorities is to remain consistent with the How to Train Your Dragon story, and we don't want to deviate too far from it. That said, it is unlikely we'll be seeing new Night Furies in the game in the near future. However, we are brainstorming more ways for our players to interact with Toothless and are thinking of new quests, Flight Club levels, and more that would allow you to play with him. Please send us your suggestions for more ways of interacting with Toothless. Perhaps we can focus our energies on these types of new features for the game rather than trying to own a Night Fury. We use Alvin from the previous thread as a bad guy to steal dragons or do something that will affect the citizens of berk. Then Hiccup will send us off with Toothless as he will need to go help Stoick or something. We then use Toothless to stop Alvin and get the dragons back. This "quest" is repeatable and we can keep doing it My dear sir... I belive you are on to something there. THAT is a really good idea! I can see myself doing that A part of the misson could involve what most people are eager to do, which is flying around with Toothless, maybe shooting some Outcasts pinning down dragons to set them free, then another part could involve finding Savage (Alvin's second in command) and to get the key to prision cells (maybe giving him a bit of a rough ride on Toothless, so you would have to do some wild maneuvers to scare him) then gathering materials, like plants or something, to put the prison guards to sleep (its a cliché I know) and release imprisioned dragons. Finally it would be necessary to defeat Alvin to complete the quest. What do you think? It's a bit crazy and not really complex, but I just came up with it. |

Hmm...maybe if they implemented a new Night Fury somehow into the TV show, that would make this easier.

Another thing (by the way that idea has lots of room to be developed - you could create a whole new thread for that if you work it out some more), I was delighted when early in the game I did science experiments with Toothless. He hee! Maybe during the early stages of the game Hiccup has Toothless demonstrate things for you <--Actually that wouldn't work unless tricks were added into the game. But that is something, if Hiccup was busy helping Stoick or Gobber, and needed materials that were collected in a place only Toothless could get to thanks to his speed (or his ultra-sound ability). Maybe something could be added involving Toothless' plasma blasts and unlocking mining areas etc. Eh...I'm sure there are other, better possibilities out there (regarding my ideas). |

But I think that if you want to tame a night fury MAYBE you later need to release it in the wild...
