How about they add almost all of the dragons from the show on Cartoon Network Riders Of Berk and put them on the Game so that you have plenty of Dragon Eggs to pick from so how about this I think it is a great idea I think that also is plenty fair because you have plenty of Dragon Eggs to pick from you can pick Changewing, Scauldron, Smothering Smokebreaths, Typhoomerang, Nightfury, and all the other Dragons that are already on the game that gives you 11 Dragons for you to pick from it seems really fair to me also because you do not absolutely have to pick from only 6 eggs to pick from 11 Dragon eggs to pick from is better than only being able to pick from 6 eggs does not seem better I mean I do not want to just have to just only get to pick from 6 eggs I would rather pick from 11 eggs I would like that if there were more Dragons to choose from! Even if that happened, pretty much everybody will still pick nightfury.

I think most people playing the Game do not want to just have to keep playing the same Dragon over and over again so that is why i thought there should be some more Dragons to pick from

I have to say though that I personally don't think "the last night fury egg" would work, mostly because you would eventually start to see other players with night furies in the game. Maybe instead the quest could involve finding Toothless a mate, who eventually leaves Berk (officially because Night Furies are solitary dragons and Berk is part of Toothless's territory, unofficially so the other players can find her too), but not before leaving behind an egg for her the viking that won her trust to keep company.

If there should be night furys they should be a tameable dragon through a quest from hiccup, or an option in the hatchery to find the eggs of a night fury. Toothless is a one of a kind dragon, so if it was in the hatcher it would kind of ruin the concept of the nightfury.

Toothless is a one of a kind dragon, so if it was in the hatcher it would kind of ruin the concept of the nightfury. I don't know if he's literally one of a kind. I always figured night furies were probably so rare because, in addition to being nocturnal guerrilla hunters, they are probably solitary with widespread territories, ergo while they might not actually be all that rare at all, it would be exceptionally rare to see two in the same place outside of whatever mating rituals they have (which might also explain why Toothless was MIA for most of Gift of the Night Fury). I have to say that, with exception of exaggerating the strength of their dragons like saying such-and-such burns with the heat of the sun and the like (which is forgivable because they're in ancient times and prone to exaggerations), HTTYD has done a pretty good job avoiding deus ex machinas and making their dragons seem as plausible as possible. So if Dreamworks or someone else were to ask me what I thought the deal with Toothless being the one and only night fury was, that'd be my first suggestion.

That sounds like a good idea, but I have to disagree on the territories thing. You know how Night Furys are almost never seen, right? What if they work together, just in a way that there only appeared to be a single Night Fury when there were actually five or six. Say that they only struck one at a time, and hovered way above the sky until their turn. However, I must admit that wouldn't explain why there was only one found in the entire franchise. :/

Why not the Night Fury for a secret exclusive code or for some super contest or taking first place on thawfest

And since theres a boneknapper in the game guide there should be a place to find them in dragon island!

If there were other night furies in the region around Berk, they would have made themselves known along with the rest of the dragon colony following the defeat of the red death. Either the red death killed or scared them all off except for Toothless, or he was the only night fury in the region to begin with. And, again, given that the vikings, who'd been studying and chronicling dragons for generations, had virtually no knowledge of night furies whatsoever until then, I'm leaning towards them being solitary.

What if to get a night fury you must do lots of stuff that would take a while, like get A+ on all flight school levels, beat all missions, win a certain amount of races in each map (4 or 5 wins) etc...

That would certainly keep the number of night furies in the game down, but there's two problems with that: #1: The flight school needs an overhaul. Presently, the game locks up all the gliding missions after you reach flight level, so for a lot of gamers, all A+ ratings are literally unobtainable right now. #2: Canon. Dragon Academy is supposed to be all about caring and trust, so much so that they have vikings literally raise dragons from birth. And night furies are supposed to be incredibly rare, so much so that they're not even sure if any others exist. So why would night fury eggs be given out like trophies?

But then we never get to see Toothless again Nvm its the mate who leaves Berk lol not Toothless They should make every dragon available that we've seen so far Deadly Nadder Monstrous Nightmare Hideous Zippleback Gronckle Whispering death Thunderdrum Changewing Scauldron Terrible Terror Typhoomerang Flamewyrm Boneknapper Smothering Smokebreath Nightfury and perhaps there should be a taming stat. Where we start with one of the starter dragons, then as our taming level rises, we can tame/train more dragons. And once it gets to an ultra high level (like 25 or something) we have the ability to TRY taming the nightfury Also, Toothless can't be the ONLY nightfury. Where are his parents? @scauldy: If it was an exclusive code, we'd still have to pay for it somehow.....because its exclusive @guest1234: No. Because then, like someone else already said, they'd be giving them out like prizes and it just doesn't fit the game. "Here's your nightfury! Use it wisely!" It's a dragon, a living creature. Not gold or an item to trade away

The "taming stat" was more or less how I envisioned it too. A lot of the training process in the show involves the gang's dragon partners, so I figure the experience in the game should be something similar, with the mission being broken into two halves: Acquisition, and rehabilitation.
Acquisition: Rescue it, capture it, whatever the situation calls for. Rehabilitation: Probably a minigame sort of like the lab where you study and interact with it.
That would allow other dragons to eventually appear in game without breaking the original theme of bonding and trust established in the beginning.
IE: This is the dragon I hatched and raised to adulthood. followed by- This is the dragon I stopped from torching the docks. This is the dragon I escaped with from Outcast Island. This is the dragon I dug out from a collapsed tunnel. And so on and so forth.

1: make a category in flight school for gliding missions and it makes your dragon glide and it loses its fight ability until you leave that category or flight school, cuz I never got a chance to finish them 2: I really hope dreamworks makes toothless the only night fury, (Sub) 1: toothless is awesome, and that would be sucky if he died knowing he was the last of his kind 2: i was sad when the aisle of nights was not real, I was hoping to see a giant herd of night furies!! 3: it's set on earth, how large is earth? Berk isn't the only place out there, (I would understand if toothless was the only night fury on berk though) 4: maybe you could get a night fury you would have to buy the longest membership (the one with the night fury) it would not make ppl want to get one, if not, more money for jump start 5( a bit off topic) I bought both riders of berk DVDs and got two whispering death codes -_-
