Ivaria, red faced, looked away as Edda sat back down next to her. At least Edda already knew that she couldn't use magic. She huffed at herself and returned to attempting to locate her magic - which she was positive was not even there.

Walker returned to the class during the sword fighting lesson with a big grin on his face it was the last period and the teacher didn't make him participate so he sat and read from his grimoire while everyone else spared looking for anyone who was particularly good and excelled.

Boethiah wasn't the fighting sort, really. Now the dwarves were laughing, sparing with each other and almost killing each other, if it weren't for the teacher to stop it. Boethiah found a partner that wouldn't go too hard nor too easy on her. It was worth effort, she thought. But it wasn't as if she was going to stop studying restoration and go into the fighting world.

Sarynn had spent most of the magic lesson sat in the back, preforming mundane spells that required minimal effort, such as lifting a pebble. He had been petrified as Walker and Edda had been called forward to preform magic in front of the entire class. He mumbled, using minimal spell-casting to knock a small creature into the teacher's drink, and hoped that it would be found when they had all cleared out. A loud scream would probably signal it's discovery.
Moving into the sword fighting lesson was even harder. Sarynn had never really bothered to pick up a sword before now, and instead had favoured using a simple wooden pole. Within the lesson he had found a spear, and had simply understood it's concept brilliantly, spinning it round and swiping it around, throwing it at targets, hitting reasonably accurate targets. However the teacher had shouted at him and told him to move back to using the sword, since it was a sword fighting lesson.
He was asked to spar, but his partner had been far too eager and Sarynn suffered a hefty knock to the head. Turning down the teacher's offer of being healed, he was excused and wandered over to Walker, and sat with him. "I'll never be chosen for the trip at this rate. I can't use magic beyond a simple spell, and fighting with a sword is not my strongest point..." He stopped, shook his head slightly and changed the topic. "You better now? I saw you sneaking that potion-thing during magic class."

Walker smiled "I'm fine, that potion was a little something to help restore myself also if your worried about not getting on the trip all you need to do is get Brom to notice you, you know like I did" from his pocket he slipped out a letter and handed it to the person sat next to him, by the way I don't believe I've introduced myself, it's nice to meet you I'm Walker from Lithrad" the letter was a letter of acceptance on the expedition Walker grinned as his acquaintance read " so far we are on our first day and 4 have already been handed out, 3 days before there's meant to be a big test to narrow down the people who actually get to go"

Now Ivaria was in her element. She stood straight as ever, right arm outstretched steadily, sword grasped firmly in hand, in a warning gesture to some obnoxious dwarf who had thought it would be hilarious to jab his own weapon at her blindly in some sort of an attempt at an attack. Expression serious, she didn't even twitch as he grinned, offering a delightful view of his chipped, yellowing teeth. He took a swing and before their swords could even connect, she had him on the ground, foot on his chest and tip of her blade at his neck. She stared down at him, eyebrow raised slightly in a bored manner before she withdrew her sword from his neck just slightly - enough to make certain he wouldn't try anything else - and extended her other hand to his collar, pulling him up roughly. Remaining silent, she backed away and shot a glare at his pathetic group of admirers before turning on the spot and striding away to one of the racks of swords, evidence of a smirk leaking from the corner of her mouth as she heard his dazed stumbling. Now that was fun.

Sarynn felt as if he'd been struck in the head a second time. Walker had an invitation already? It half crossed his mind to just slip the letter into his own bag, but the idea vanished quickly. Sarynn sighed, and put his thoughts onto Walker's introduction. "Oh. I'm Sarynn of no-place..." huffed, but he then quickly apologised for being rude. "Sorry. But I don't come from a big place. Just from a Stables, that's pretty much in the middle of nowhere."
He read the letter again and pondered upon Walker's words. How could he ever get noticed? "Thank you for the advice Walker, but there's nothing I could possibly do to gain his attention. Even if I were good at sword fighting or magic, I would never have the audacity to stand out from the crowd. The only thing I can do well is work around animals, and the only study related thing I'm any good at is knowledge of the Dragons. You know, things about being a dragonrider, about how it can be inherited, the heart needed to befriend such a magnificent creature can be passed down through generations, and how there is a strong link between the dragon and the rider. Just simple, practically useless information..." He looked down, ran a hand through his hair, composed himself and then spoke again. "Oh well. At least, whilst you're away, send me letters alright? Please let me know what it is like out there."

Walker frowned withdrew the letter folded it so it wouldn't bend as easily and lightly slapped him on the back of the head with it, "then excell in the scholar studies, Brom is an expert on dragon history so by showing off your knowledge of the subject in the history lesson tomorrow try then ....." Walker's attention was dragged to the other side of the room, Ivaria was being lectured by the teacher about manners and not to be so violent and was sent to the head tearcher's room, Walker smirked "looks like someone else just got their letter of approval too" he said as Ivaria walked out and turned back to Sarynn "so make sure you get you's tommorow"

History class. The next best thing to the possible idea of horse-riding class! Sarynn brightened up a bit and grinned. "Well, I best pull out the old history theories on the dragons, and their stories, and their respective riders!" He stood up quickly, thanked Walker for the suggestion, and ran hastily towards the exit of the classroom, slamming into Ivaria on the way out, apologising profusely and then continuing his mad dash up to the school dorm. Upon arriving, he sat cross-legged on his bed, and began to pour through their contents, each thick and dusty cover holding the information he so sought to discover within.

Edda eventually gave up with the fighting and class was soon over, thankfully. She went back to her dorm room, carrying her healing tomes in her arms and a few in her satchel. At this rate, she was never going to be picked. Even if she was one of few who was in the healing arts specifically, nobody would ever probably think to bring one along. She just needed to work harder, Edda kept telling herself. So once in her dorm, she took her books and spread them around, reading up on newer and faster spells that took more energy than she probably had in her.

Walker took a long walk back to his dorm room, thinking about a new spell that would let him see things and people from far away, casting the spell was known as scrying, Walker opened the door to his dorm to see someone already in there engrossed in their study's Walker greeted him but he didn't respond instead he took one of the two bed's in the room and began to read from his grimoire, tommorow was history class and more specificallly Dragon history and as always Walker was keenly interested in anything dragon related and loved to hear stories about dragons and their rider's when he was littel

Not even some guy running into her when she re-entered the classroom to collect her things at the end of the lesson could bring Ivaria's mood down. Brom had chosen her to be included in the expedition - the fifth addition today. Of course, she knew that she would get chosen because she could handle a sword like an artist could handle a paintbrush. It was natural to her. As she walked to where her dorm room was supposed to be located with her head held high, she scolded herself for believing that she was actually under a punishment when sent to the headteacher's office. She should have seen through that. Upon arrival at the door, she could see a figure already sat on one of the two beds. Wonderful. She would have to share a room. She entered and found, to her initial surprise - not that she showed it - that the girl sat, deeply engrossed in books she could only guess were of the magic kind, was Edda, with her auburn bun. Regarding her fellow human and classmate, she decided against conversation and went to get settled into the dorm.
((Yeah sorry if they've already been to the dorms or whatever, I just wanted to write it like that so yup))
