Hello fellow vikings! I have been following this game for a while now and have been eagerly anticipating it's release. I have gotten a bit into the game and have decided to sum up my experince of it's pro's and con's for my fellow students! Upon joining I was pleasantly surprised to find that the game had fully done voice acting! The game appears to use voice actors from the TV series instead of the movie. I like this as I think chris edgerly is more memorable as gobber than graig ferguson. Another plus is that the textures are suprisingly good. I was expecting very low resolution textures but was again, surprised by the quality. Unfortunately the game has a considerable account of flaws as well. One of my main problems was that the game was literally unplayable on my high end gaming laptop. I am fully able to play Skyrim with Numerous graphical modifications installed but this game crashes after freezing every 3 minutes. I attribute this to the first day server flood but it still makes it hard to do much of anything. Another qualm that I had was that the dragon flying areas were very slow and lackluster. I was expecting faster and more suspenseful flight mechanics. Whether dragon flight gameplay increases in difficulty later on in the game, I do not know. The third annoyance I had was that the character gen system was surprisingly dull. Whilst it may be because I just played skyrim with it's Top notch character creation system, 2 hairstlyes and 2 different chin shapes don't resonate well with me.That's pretty much it.
I hope my first impressions review can help other young vikings get a feel for the game, and an idea on what to expect in their adventure. I know that despite it's flaw's I'll still be playing "School of dragons", and I hope to see some of you online! Cheers!

Hi, p3t3rsam! Thank you for your feedback. As we finally open the doors to the public, we love to hear how players are enjoying the game along with any suggestions they have on how to improve it. We have a number of great updates planned to further develop the world of School of Dragons in the coming months. At this time, it sounds like you may be experiencing some technical issues when playing. First, try clearing your web browser and Unity caches by following the instructions listed, here: www.schoolofdragons.com/Help/Faq#unity-reinstall. If problems still persist, please provide us with a detailed description of the issue you are facing. The more details you provide, the easier it will be for us to pin point the problem. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention and for checking out School of Dragons!

Hi! I hope you don't mind me sharing my thoughts here as well!
First off, I thought this game was extremely well made. I had the fear this would be some sort of small game where you can only play for about 2 hours and be done, but it turns out as a pleasant surprise that I've been playing for 3 hours and only get to level 6. The quests contain both a learning experience for not only science, but about the culture of the viking world as well, which I'm amazed at. Normally, games that they say are educational and "fun", aren't what most people consider fun, but this game is not like that for sure! The textures and quality of the game really stand out well, and shows how much work was put into this game, which also helps increase the interest in gameplay! It's a bit hard at first because all you do is run around a bit for quests, but then you can play games with your dragon, they can be a mount so you can run faster, and you can even glide, which I think is a very useful addition. I also LOVE how you don't have to download anything from the game (excluding the utility download, which is super simple). Combine these kinds of graphics as well, it really brings things to a whole new level.
For the flaws, I have to agree with p3t3rsam on the lagging issue. I am also playing on a laptop and had a bit of trouble at first. I started to exit out of a couple tabs, but then the windows (against my will) restarted itself. I was able to get back on the game quickly, thank goodness, and actually start playing. After the restart, the game seemed to be fine, so I'm not too worried about it now. A gameplay issue I noticed was that the dragon doesn't seem too keep up very well and get's "lost" behind me. It soon travels somehow back next to me when I stop, but it was a bit of a hassle when I had to light the campfire for Gobber and the dragon was too far away to light it, even though I was practically standing on top of the campfire. One last gameplay issue (I'm not sure if you can consider this an "issue", but more of a small annoyance) is the fishing somewhat takes a while and gets a bit boring after some time, especially if you're trying to catch a fish that's harder to catch, but you don't really need it. A small thing really, but just something I figured I should mention. Another thing, and it might just be my computer but whenever I got to Berk, I see people standing around, like they're suppose to be other players, wandering around and doing their quests, but they just stand there and do nothing. Also, when I tried to chat, it said "Server Error", so my guess is the server isn't set up/not working, or my computer just isn't up for that kind of challenge. As for the hairstyles and clothing shortage, I feel this game has so much gameplay in it, that you sort of forget the fact that a lot of people look like you. Of course, it would be nice if you could add some clothes, but it's only day 1, so I'm not going to worry about that too much.
Please for whomever is reading this, don't think that because of the length of the paragraphs, that the flaws overcome the pros of this game, because they don't. This is a great game that I think anyone can play and have fun with it, especially a hard-core dragon lover, such as myself! I have yet to explore more places and even fly Lifesky up into the clouds, but so far I think this game is one I'll be playing for a long time, and will be checking frequently for updates and new areas to explore!
Happy Riding! ~Lifesky

It may be worth noting that as you progress through the stages, there are less players and therefore less lag. Right after I got my super cool dragon, the lag stopped entirely. I believe that the lag is caused by clients failing to communicate with eachother. This game is a lot more fun and much more enjoyable now that the lag is gone. Also, could you maybe host a Q&A session sometime Admin? I know a lot of us have suggestions to improve the forum, as it's current status is bare bones , and somewhat discourages communication.

The game is great, and beside the lag which has already been reported, there are some glitches with the laboratory equipment. Materials fly out of the crucible for no discernible reason.

MagmaFyre, I thought I'm the only one who has this problem. I wonder how Toothless could sit there, not laughing at all. I was laughing to death xD "FLYING STONES! WATCH OUT!"
Once, this Salt Rock flu straight through Toothless. Poor guy, got a stone to his head!

BUG REPORT: Repeated sounds going on an endless loop.
>I picked up a rune stone whilst my dragon was carrying one and the noise that plays when it says "Congrats you found a rune stone" played on an endless loop till I exited the game.

I've found a "solution" for this (happened to me as well) :
Go to the options menu (the toothed wheel) and click on Music and Sound Off. Then go to "Switch profile" and choose your profile. This doesn't take as long as exiting the game and relogging in!

BUG REPORT AS WELL: Ummm, no idea how to call this.
> Hiccup gave me a quest where I have to collect logs, stone for weights and a frame which was made by the Botanist. After I got the frame, the quest says "Take the loom parts to Hiccup". Now I'm standing in front of him, and everytime I click him he says "I could really use your help!" but won't take the loom parts. And yes, the Quest Arrow shows to him. I'll try to talk to the "Berk Hiccup", since the "School Hiccup" won't take the parts. It's somewhat confusing that some characters are everywhere, like Gobber. He's at the Common at the School, TWICE in Berk and in the Wilderness. :/
EDIT: "Berk Hiccup" won't take the parts either. He also just says "I really could use your help". So now I'm stuck at this Quest forever, since Hiccup refuses to take the precious loom parts :/

Hiccup for the final quest doesn't have a question mark above his head, so you cannot turn in the quest.

Erm, I'm a new player and while there is some glitches with the game, it is still prety good. Nothing a bit of tweaking here and there can't fix. Although I do have one problem: I'm trying to catch 3 cod for Gobber but I ran out of worms (not too good with the fishing rod you see) and I can't get any more fish until I get more bait, but I don't know where to get bait. Will it be in the shop once it opens? If it's in the game, how do I get it, and where? Thank you though, the game is really good and I'm looking forward to playing more of it. :

Hi there KT! I'm sure I can help you out Do you know where the shop is? It's the yellow/orange button right between your Gold and Diamonds. If you click that, the Viking Store opens. First you'll come to clothing and stuff like that. Click on the Fishing Rod on the left side of the board. Now you come to the page where you can buy better Fishing Rods. Now go down to the lower side of the board. There are "Fishing Rods (Where you are currently)" , "BAITS" and "FIsh" Click on Baits and there you go! One worm is 3 Gold!
