That'd probably be the coolest thing ever! I'm going to get Skyrim on my computer and Oculous Rift (unless it become available to consoles OTL) because I've seen videos and it looks amazing!

I can't wait to get a go on the Oculus - I refuse to die without at least getting one chance. I really wanna play a horror game with it theyv are set to come out next year but are being sold to devs so they can make their games compatible with it and they showcase them at expo's like PAX and E3 |

Seems silly. The average age of people playing this game is probably fairly young, and most 8-10 uear olds don't have an oculus rift hanging around. This game wouldn't benefit much from 3d anyway, given that the flight mechanics in this game are slow and mediocre at best. The game is also almost entirely 3rd person. Am I saying it couldn't work? No! But if it takes place of other features and fixes It'd be a bit nonsensical.

Yeah, it's probably pretty far from likely, but if it were to happen I would very suddenly go fanboy-crazy and buy a Rift on the spot. I've been watching it for awhile just as a general-purpose VR headset (supposedly the production version will be 1080p, good enough for general computer use) because I don't really do any gaming, but SOD kinda changed that... :-P

I am saying that taking the time to format SOD to be able to utilize oculus rift tech could be better spent developing new content. I also don't think that there is any sort of benefit to using an oculus rift in SOD, because the 1 mile per hour "dragon flights" wouldn't properly utilize the tech in an effective and worthwile way. I am saying this as a future oculus rift owner. I don't believe that SOD is properly designed to effectively use an oculus rift. If dragon flight gets an overhaul and you can actually fly dragons fast (vapor trail sorta fast)then I'd be all for it. Currently, dragon flying is to slow and boring.

I think we understand that SoD isn't designed for the Oculus Rift. We're not saying that it should be ouo All we mean is that, if it so happened that SoD was in first person etc. Or basically just designed as an Oculus Rift game, then it would be fun to play. I don't expect SoD to ever be able to be used with one and I'm not trying to get it to be used with one. It's just a thought!  Basically, HTTYD for Oculus Rift would be awesome, but I don't expect that it will actually become a thing. |
