"Burning things is fun!" I just imagine the alchemist being all like: But I have to agree! I love to do experiments. I always do much more than the quest says. Why burning only one paper, if you can BURN 5!! Or why not EVERYTHING AT THE SAME TIME! Yes, the oil, the paper, the coal and the wood all at the same time! Oh, science is fun.

The science parts are my favorite part of the game. Especially when you do the rock stuff with Toothless. I was just setting rocks on fire thinking to myself, "I don't think rocks actually catch on fire...."

Also, how do they have thermometers? I doubt they know about Mercury.

Immediately after I read that I thought about the hungarian horntail trying to peace Harry Potter xD. I also thought, why don't we have some sort of magic in the series or game? We have dragons and they're mythical. So why not magic?

Also, how do they have thermometers? I doubt they know about Mercury. So? They don't need to know HOW a thermometer works. They just need to know it does lol. It's kinda like we KNOW the universe exists however we don't know HOW the universe works (ok well we kinda do but you get my point) or if aliens exist

While I think magic is cool just like my other Viking companions and would love to spew fireballs from my hands, your fellow classmates bring up a good point that the School of Dragons universe is set in the same as ours--the only exception being the presence of dragons. While we typically associate dragons with fantasy, in School of Dragons, Vikings view dragons as we would wolves--they're wild, cunning creatures that would be pretty awesome to tame! We like to think of it more as adding another species of animals into the world. And just like any other creature, we use science to learn more about them and the world around us. Hope this clarifies things a bit!
