Hello all.
I have recently become a member due to the fact that it comes with good things (And even better in the future) and to support school of dragons. When I used my member slot for a new character, I went to the store to get my improved rod so I could have the all-powerful-drag, but when I did, I got a disappointing result... They cost gems now. This wouldn't be a problem if my family couldn't afford to spend any extra money for a while, but they do. I can't use my gems I get next month, I am saving those for an extra slot. Without that rod, I am lost in the depths of the sea.
Please, at least let the improved rod cost, say 500-800 coins? My baby nadder will starve, and without salmon or even brown trout I am afraid that I will not be able to feed my dragon. This has to be one of the most sad times I have had so far.
Please consider this. Thanks.

Hi scottnov. Thanks for your feedback and voicing your thoughts. The reason why the improved rod costs gems instead of gold now is because of the rod's significantly improved ability to catch fish. The advanced mechanics that the rod provides classifies it as a premium item--one that can be purchased with gems. We appreciate your perspective and respect your opinion, and want to assure you that you will continue to have a full, enjoyable experience at School of Dragons.

This post is so sad. the whole "My baby nadder will starve, and without salmon or even brown trout I am afraid that I will not be able to feed my dragon." reminds me of those animal cruelty commercials. "For only 1 gem a day, you can help poor, unloved, deadly nadders like this one to get the salmon and fish they deserve".

I see, well then can you make a better rod for coins that has better reel and drag? It doesn't have to be as good as the gem ones. Like said before, my family has no extra money to spend, the only thing I can think to do is wait for this month to end. Yep, pretty much.

That is a doable idea that we can talk to our production team about. Like we said earlier, our top priority is to give you an unparalleled gaming experience with School of Dragons. As we continue to build School of Dragons and add more content, you will see that there are plenty of great features for both paying and non-paying players.

As we continue to build School of Dragons and add more content, you will see that there are plenty of great features for both paying and non-paying players. It should at LEAST be able to catch brown trouts. Here's another idea for once you make that rod: All the old rods are returned to there coin origins (Prices: 800 coins for improved rod, and 1500 for advanced rod) , but a new, epic rod is added. The new rod, called the Master rod, can catch pretty much any fish, no problem. With fast reel and drag, it is the best rod, but it costs 200-500 gems maybe? It even attracts new and delicious kinds of exotic fish (Ideas: Cuttlefish (15 energy) Octopus and Squid (10 energy and common) Small sharks (20 energy) and more! It looks amazing. It can also hold a new bait which attracts fish 50% faster! Amazing right? But players that can't pay will have to settle for the best rod that coins can afford. This would allow people that can pay will be able to get REALLY good stuff, and people that don't can still get good stuff. Tell me what you think! If this is added me and Mystwing (My second dragon) can continue our adventure, but at the moment we are stuck. P.S: I am a paid member, and I like being able to support this game.

I am not a member of jumpstart. When I am logged into School of Dragons, it only says I need to activate my account. I see to continue to enjoy this game I need to be a member. Do I need to be a jumpstart member or can and where do I become a SOD member?

All you need to do is activate your account via the email you registered your account with. Lucky for you, I made a fantastic tutorial on how to do so. To go to the tutorial on how to activate your account, click here. If I helped you, send me a ticket to a bon jovi concert, because it's gotta be said, they're fantastic.

Hey, for the rods...I have a problem similar to scottnov's ; I can't catch anymore fish because my rod breaks everytime.
If I can suggest an idea, I don't mind not getting an improved rod, I'm not a member yet so I don't have the gems for it, but it would be a good idea to be able to repurchase the simple rod us beginners get. Like I said, after a while the rod just becomes useless.
As much as I want to become a member, I don't have the means to purchase a membership right now. One day, hopefully I like to but in the meantime it's getting boring for people like me. I don't have anymore quests, I can't fish because of my worn out rod so I can't do any of the jobs in Berk.
If SOD administration would just look into improving those two issues people who don't have a membership, and can't get one for the time being, would keep coming back and stay interested until they can pay to play with more features. (And I will not go into the fact that I personally find the prices a tiny bit high...and it's half off right now...)
Anyway, that's what I had to say for the moment.

You create a separate account for this game. However, you can choose to play for free or be a member. While we provide a full gameplay experience for both paying and non-paying players, members do receive some added perks. To find out more information on membership, click here. Let us know if you have any questions.

I agree with the rod stuff. There really should be at least one you can buy with gold. It would be nice too if there was a variety of baits to chose from. Like you could have baits at various prices that attracted certain fish. A super cheap bait for perch, an expensive bait for salmon, etc..... That way if your doing a quest or job that requires a certain fish but all your getting is everything else instead of what your after you could just use the fancy specialized bait to catch what you need. I also have a question about eels, can you feed them to your dragons? I've caught a couple but not tried feeding them to my dragon yet since in the movie they freak out a bit. What happens when you do?

Also, that's a great idea to have different types of bait. I'll let the production team know about your idea. I'm sure they'll love it! I wouldn't recommend feeding your dragon eels. Hold onto them for now, though. They'll serve a purpose soon!

I also agree with the rods, I saved for a very long time to be able to purchase the improved rod, but when I went to the store i noticed that they now cost gems, and because I ACCIDENTALLY spent my gems on filling the well in my farm, I cant afford it, so is there a way for me to get my gems back? If not PLEASE make a new rod that costs coins or do so that the improved rod costs coins again so now
