Pay to change appearance after deciding on colour

I don't know if this has been suggested but today I wanted to check how my dragon would look with a different colour but I had to pay 15 gems before I could even see how it looked like. I didn't like the new colour so I just switched back to the blue, purple and pink I've always had. I basically spent 15 gems on nothing  I would suggest that we can change our dragons colours to see if we really want to spend 15 gems on changing it and then pay the gems afterwards (sort of like a "are you sure you want to change your dragons appearance?" yes/no).

I think that it should be coins instead of gems, I mean we are just changing the color for our dragon, it should be like 500 coins or something.

I agree, maybe even choose between paying 15 gems or 500 coins or something.

Well, it could stay gems if they added a system (as they said before) that would allow people to collect gems to buy things with. But I totally agree that there should be a system to see what your dragon could look like in different colors.

if they do add gems as an item you can get from quests or anything like that, then the gem prices for items would just be raised to keep it 'balanced.'

BUT i do agree with everything in this thread!
