A few problems

Hi. There are a few little things that have been bugging me since this morning and I just want to put it out there in case anybody else is having the same problems and so the SoD team can know as soon as possible to be able to fix them. They have done a great job so far and this is just to help them out.

First of all, since yesterday my game is a little slow; it lags, especially when I'm fishing (which really does not make the action any easier), and I have had a few times when the game crashed, or more accurately the Unity plug-in crashed. 

Secondly, I just got a new viking and dragon (a Thunderdrum from my promo code ) and everytime I fish, wherever I am, I get either an eel or a salmon. I always lose salmons and I can't feed eels to my dragons. The few times I ended up getting another type of fish I lost the bait (which I don't understand how). I am losing bait fast (like my first fishing lesson I get an eel than a salmon which made me lose 2 baits before I can actually fish) and bait costs a lot. 
Another fishing problem I have is with my older account; every time I fish I either lose the bait or the line snaps. Even with the easiest of fish. I don't know if my rod is too worn out (is that possible?) or if it might be a little bug but I can't feed my dragon properly, in any account.

Back to my new account; I have only 29 gems. I just started playing that viking 30 minutes ago and didn't buy anything, not even bait yet. Usually, you start off with 100 gems. Is that a bug or do we now start with only 29 gems? 

Anyway, those are the few issues I've had lately. 

EDIT : By the way, I am playing on a HP pavillion, using Windows 7 and I have Google Chrome browser. Hope that helps.

Thanks for letting us know about these issues. For your first issue, try clearing your browser cache. This may help reduce lag and speed things up. Players can experience lag when a lot of other players are around, particularly when fishing in a large crowd of Vikings. When fishing, you may notice that different bodies of water tend to have certain kinds of fish. Try experimenting by fishing in different ponds or lakes to see if you hook the fish you're looking for. Finally, when talking about a new account, do you mean a brand new account (e.g. new username) or a new character? Thank you.

First of all, thanks for the response. Second, about those issues. 
I have cleared my cache a few times (I do it about once a day). Since the problems with the Alchemist have been mostly resolved the game doesn't seem to lag as much. But I will say that I can hardly fish at the beaches at the school because it still lags too much, and most of the time I'm the only one there. 

When I had my fishing problem I had tried fishing at basically every water body and I still got hard fish to catch or eels, but, like with the lagging problem, it seemed to have resolved itself a bit with the Alchemist resolution. So I'm good there for now.

For the gems, I understood later what happened; it's not a new account, it's just a new viking so I had the same gems (I feel stupid for not realizing it sooner). I did have more but I accidentally refilled my water once and it cost me some gems. Anyway, I used up my gems now, so I don't need to keep count of them or whatever.



For now I have no more problems, thank you for the help and let the team continue doing their great work.

P.S.: I can't wait for the new update, with the new fix for the Toothache problem and other cool new stuff.
