Hello,
I am experiencing an issue where during a gameplay session my laptop will instantly turn itself off. Not go through a shutdown process, but just go instantly dead and have to be cold booted.
This is an issue I have encountered one other time, with X-Com: Enemy Unknown. In the game I was able to turn the graphics settings to the minimums and extend my play-time from 4-5min to over an hour before crashing. Note that I never had framerate issues...the card just overheated and forced the laptop to shut down.
That is the only other game where I have encountered this issue. I can play Skyrim, Battlefield 3, SWTOR, and pretty much any older game fine.
Is this a known issue?
For reference, I am playing on a Samsung RF711
Specs:
i5-2410m @ 2.3Ghz
8gb ram
Nvidia 540m /w 1gb ram
Samsung SSD
Using Chrome web browser (if that matters).
If any other information is needed please let me know!
