Quest issues

Two of the quests I'm doing won't let me complete/continue with them:

"Shiny New Trophies" quest: After gathering the materials, I go to talk to the alchemist to form a hypothesis, but it won't let me. I can click on her and she'll say a pre-programmed phrase, but that's it. I hoped that maybe going into the lab would help, but it won't let me do that either since I have no active experiments going on. She also doesn't have a '?' above her head to indicate that I need to talk to her.

"Botany 101" quest: I go to collect the toothache plant for Snotlout, but then I can't go any farther. The quest arrow disappears and the words "Go collect the toothache plant" just stay there at the bottom. I tried going back to Snotlout in the hatchery, but it then reset and told me to go get the toothache plant again like I didn't collect it in the first place. I also tried talking to him other places, but to no avail. It just stays stuck on that one thing.

I'm on an Asus laptop with Windows 8 as the OS, and I'm using Google Chrome as the browser. Thanks!

It happened to me too, but you can complete the quest very easily. Just walk around the Thunder Race building and the plant is staying right behind, shining, so you can see it. Just pick it up and go back to Snotlout, the mission will be finished... well...teoretically

No it just keeps resetting itself and won't let me give it to him. I collect the plant, try to give it to him outside of Fireball Frenzy, he won't take it. I go to the hatchery to give it to him, it resets and tells me to go back and get it again and it won't let me talk to him. I try to collect the flower again and the same thing happens. It's like a never ending cycle. It's just stuck sadly :/

Same problem here! I posted it in another thread in the bug forum last night (it's just one of 3 quests I currently can't complete >_<) so hopefully the staff will get around to it later today.
