Dang never mind. Sheep feed is 20, so that means it costs 100 for one turn in and the payout is 95. Sunflowers do work though! Make sure you only harvest one plant at a time or you will lose sunflowers! You need 60 of them and there's 12 to a harvest if you manage to pick all of them up. So, you need 5 plots for one turn in. It costs 30 per seed so total cost is 150 for a pay out of 45. I've been going back and fourth just doing sunflowers and racing and I've managed to buy one sheep. Going to try chickens next to see if those have any value. I wish I knew how long it took for water to grow back. Sorry to interrupt, but I'm curious ... why is it 100? You get 1 wool per feed, right? And if you're doing White Fluff, that only needs 3 wool. 20 x 3 = 60. Then you get 95 for turning in the wool, and profit made is 35. |

I've noticed that I have been getting free seeds in my farm over time periods, I'm not sure...maybe it is a bug or a feature you unlock after reaching a certain farming level. This is great however and I don't even have to buy seeds anymore and I can just wait for free corn, sunflower and even pumpkin seeds. I have even managed to reach the lvl 20 farming cap easily because of this  Anyway if you get free seeds like me I suggest you start farming as you make the most gold with no loss or disadvantage (aside from water regen wait) |

It is still not enough, if you ask me. Everything got so expensive - even the Bait! - and it can't be that we need to wait for our dragons energy to be filled. That's not fun at all! I know it's right after an update, and updates are always bringing new stuff and joy - but also new problems. I would like to see the Money Balance back. It is an inflation, only in the other way: Money is too precious! I must think twice before I even can buy a bag of Dragon Nip Seeds! I always end up buying ONE SINGLE bait because I can't effort more! Then I go to Thunder Run, do 2 Races and have to feed my dragon fish. Then I have to go fishing because I don't have any single fish anymore I'm sorry if I'm on a little rant... if you are framing get a chicken and get the egg you can feed your dragon those and it boots the happy bar |

alethea, I agree with you! It would be much easier (and better) if you could dig for them. Or that dragons can fish bye themselves?
But no! They are so "small" and can not make it themselves!
The game's based on the movie / series and there they can actually do it.

Farming for the job board is the best way to earn gold. Between the farming jobs and the fishing jobs I have gotten over 2000 gold in just a couple hours. I figured it out and the profit on farming jobs when you are a member is higher than 50%.
The sunflower job is only 36 flowers now, so it is only 3 planting plots. Cabbages and pumpkins give you 6 with each harvest so you only need to plant 3 plots to complete the job. Cabbages pay 160 and pumpkins 200. I also got a second chicken so I can get the eggs job done quicker.
Dragons do not eat much if you don't race them or train them so most of my fish now goes to the job board.
Still I am anxiously awaiting some new quests. |

Right now, it doesn't even pay to plant sunflowers. You need 36 sunflowers to make $70. You need to plant 3 bags of seed that costs $90 to get the 36 flowers. That is a $20 LOSS! Dragon nip profits $50 per task. Corn profits $86. Those are the best two to do.

Right now lighting all fire pits in the area is the best source of income. It's easy to get tons of coins once you establish a route and have a dragon that can fly.

Lol. Already bought 2 dragon dippers and still have 10k gold left over. However, I'm not really playing as there is nothing really to do. Sure you can keep making gold and get cool farm items but you can only get so many things. :/
They need outcasts or something for us to do once we have leveled our dragon completely.

I came to these boards with the same problem as the OP: I can't get ahead, gold wise. I've read through these two pages of suggestions, and still can't tell what's the best way a lowb who can't fly yet (I can glide) can get ahead and make some money. I don't want to be rich right away, I get that. But I would like to be able to buy bait and seed and maybe a better fishing pole...but I just don't have the coin.  |

I still have this problem though that I was really really low on money that I can afforded only one bait to restored my dragon health and played the race to earn a bit more of money to buy more bait and waiting for the small amount of money to be enough to pay for sheep feed and earn money from the quest....err...until I lost the salmon and now I basically broke...my dragon has only 2 health...can't earn money from race not enough money to buy bait....and I am stuck...any suggestion what to do about it ;w;? I heard you talking about lightning something?

Hello! If you go around shooting firepits in the various areas, you can get gold. I recommend trying to light them until you get the 'You got them all!' indicator. There are three in the school area, and I believe in Berk and the Wilderness. Berk proved to be the easiest in my experience, with less travel time.
(You need to light them all to get credit for that area, and I do believe there is a timer thing on it, though I could be mistaken.)
