Everyone Disappearing bug/Troubles with the chat?

I've had the absolute weirdest bug going on for me. After a completely random amount of time for me, everyone in the area I'm in will just disappear. Not like run away disappear, their avatars just are gone. Sometimes the avatars will reappear and then disappear again, but other times I have to go to another area to see avatars again.
This event happened right when I was chatting with another group of users, and I had to go to another area and then back to get other people's avatars to show again. But when I went to go chat with them again, yes, they were chatting, but the only thing that came up was a message with something about needing to active their account to use the chat. I know this can't be the case because I was chatting with them earlier.
Then in the chat, sometimes it will let me type and send a message, other times it won't. I don't know if this is because there is some type of bug in the chat, or if the things you can type in the chat are really, really restricted. If it's restricted, I'd really like it if you could just limit the restrictions to inappropriate words and phrases, because with the restrictions you can barely type anything.
Continuing with the event that happened earlier, I left when I saw the messages hoping my leave-and-come-back trick would work on this too. It did, but I couldn't apologizeto them for leaving.
I'm just getting a little annoyed, and I don't want to because School of Dragons is one of my favorite rpgs.

Hey there, Song of Storms. We apologize for the inconvenience but thanks for hanging with us. We're working on fixing the MMO issues that are causing other players to disappear so stay tuned for an update with that. Also, the current chat system is being worked on and is not fully functioning right now, which is why you're having trouble communicating with other players. However, we do plan on releasing a new chat system soon so you'll be able to talk with your friends. Thanks for reporting the bug and providing lots of information for us to work with.
