Just as a quick note, I want to say that this is a fantastic game. I've been waiting for ten years for a game like this (yeah, I'm a bit sad and obsessed with dragons, but what the hey) and I am so pleased with the response of the team working on this game! I'm planning on becoming a full member as soon as the farm opens, which I'm also excited about!
In the meantime, I'd just like to put a few ideas out there whilst I've still got them.
I can see there are some openings for some new areas that could be opened. If any suggestions come through, I'd like to see:
1) The grove that Hiccup and Toothless met in. (It's just a fantastic place.)
2) The Dragon Island. (That place would be so much fun to explore!)
3) The Outcast Island from the series. (Attacking bad guys is fun.)
4) The Snow Island on the first phone app Toothless flying game.
5) A Shipwreck Island would be awesome as well!
With areas that aren't whole islands, maybe there could be:
1) A crystal cave system. (Oh hey this is making me think of more ideas!)
2) A partially underwater cave system. (For catching weird fish!)
3) A boat that's out at sea. (Seeing Scauldrons/catching huge fish like sharks!)
4) A couple more beaches. (The beach at Berk is fantastic, more like it in different places would be amazing.)
Leading on from the idea of the crystal cave system, there could be an area where you can mine. Mining then could be used to craft swords, shields and armour for your dragon! This also can lead into the already proposed idea of having an area for fighting other players. Then people in clans could design their own shield pattern and display it in honour of their clan.
There's also another mini-game I can think of that would work nicely in conjunction with the farm. If players had their own section of cyberspace for their houses (Hehe, awesome idea Skips!) then maybe they could have an area around them to work with a farm. Until they reach a high enough farming level, the mini-game should involve herding farm animals with the dragons, then teaching people how to care for them and harvest wool/milk/eggs from Berk.
Another thing that would be awesome to see is, when you get your dragon bonding skill up to a certain level, you can preform tricks (loop the loops, spins, dives, and more) on your dragon. Then there could be a new mini-game where you have to preform the best tricks most precisely on your dragon to win. (A bit like a surfing contest, on dragons.)
Flowers! I know there's a kind of flower dragons don't like, but it'd be nice if there were a few more flowers around.
Trading is another thing that can really change things in a game. It'd be nice to be able to trade things with one another in order to spread the resources (you might have to add a fairness balance though, so that the value that each player is putting in is equal, no raw trades to newbie players) in which people can become masters of something and sell their products on.
Oh yes. Titles are always fun to have, after all, Stoic has one. A traditional Viking thing to have for those who prove themselves.
Another thing that would be brilliant to have is saddles. People could make or buy saddles (and there could be science experiments about air friction, heck physics could star in this) which increase the speed of the dragon/allow more complex tricks to be preformed.
Okay, I think this will be the last set of ideas here. (Sorry for the wall of text.)
Some new items that could appear/customisations for dragons or Vikings:
Vikings:
1) Facial hair for male Vikings.
2) Different body shapes for male Vikings.
3) Necklaces/pendants
Dragons:
1) Horn shapes
2) The spine shape/arrangement
3) The pattern and pattern colour
4) Claw length/claw shape
5) Eye colour on dragons
6) Maybe a couple of personalities (so a difference between idle animations, like a calm Nadder would scratch its neck, whilst an agitated one would hiss)
7) If saddle/harness is included at a later date, the colours and pattern on that.
8) Teeth shape
9) Maybe a slight difference between gender? (Male dragons have bigger horns or something?)
10) Tail shape/tail adornment
New items:
1) More items in the clothing area
2) Magazine (updates, events, direct way for the team to keep people updated with articles and such.)
3) More specialised bait for catching specific fish
4) Farm tools
Okay, that's it! (You're all probably asleep from reading this.)
Sorry if I've repeated ideas that people have already put forward. I did browse through the main ideas already suggested.
Thanks,
