I have been having constant problems with text chat. My main problem is that it does not work. For instance, I type something into chat and enter it, but nothing happens. Absolutely nothing. No message on my screen, nothing pops up into the chat box. My second problem was when I got a message when I tried to use text chat that I needed to have it approved through e-mail. I am old enough to use text chat without being approved as I have my own e-mail for my account. But I clicked to send a verification e-mail anyways. Instead of sending a verification another message popped up saying that my e-mail is not valid. I am ABSOLUTELY sure that my e-mail is valid and that I typed it in correctly. I tried this two or three times and the same thing happened. Then I refreshed, and then the text chat verification messages stopped, but then I couldn't type anything again. Has anyone been having problems like this? I would like to have this fixed, it drives me crazy.

I've been having the same chat problem. It mainly happens for me inside the meeting halls, but I've never had it say I need to verify anything. It's been happening to lots of people lately and hopefully, they'll be fixing it in a patch soon.

From what Brynjolf has already said, they are working on this and improving it. No one can type into chat nor see chat. But Brynjolf said this will be eventually fixed as well as the limitation on chat. So we should be good in the next update

We're working on fixing it since we know how important it is for you to be able to communicate with your friends in the game! Could you please tell us your browser, computer, and operating system? Any information would help. Thanks! When trying to use chat, I type something in and hit enter. It doesn't show any kind of message with my character or in the chat box and no error message comes up. I can see other people's messages that are usually authorization errors. The meeting halls at the school and on Berk where all 3 of the teachers are are the places where it happens most. And it also happens everywhere else now. Hope this helped! |

One of my kids keep getting their chat suspended for 24 hours, and they don't know what they did wrong. This is getting frustrating....

Both of my kids now have suspended chat for no reason..............It's hard to recommend this game to their friends with so many unresolved issues and frustrations.

Any information would help. Thanks! I use internet explorer on a 64-bit operating system. My computer is an ASUS Notebook Series and the Windows Edition is Windows 7. I hope that's enough information?  |
