It’s great to see so many young Vikings helping each other out on Berk and around the school grounds! With this new board, you can post any of your top tips, tricks, and suggestions for fellow Viking students to use around School of Dragons. Now is the time to team up with your peers to overcome any challenges that fly your way!
Also, a huge shout out to School of Dragons fan, magmafyre, who has been helping their fellow Vikings by providing a list of their insights to the game. Players are more than welcome to try out some of the tips that magmafyre had to share on Tumblr.
• Buy the best fishing rod you can. It comes with a drag button to relieve some tension, and although it can be difficult to use correctly with certain fish, it makes your life a thousand times easier. Just remember to tap and not hold because the bar moves back very quickly. Also the safe region is bigger and tension goes up more slowly.
• Flight Club gives you dragon experience. Just keep playing that until you level up if you can’t finish quests or there aren’t any more.
• Racing also gives you experience, but I don’t think fireball frenzy does.
• Save your eels for fishing jobs, because really, you should know better than to try feeding your dragon an eel. Their happiness plummets.
• Berk fishing loses my bait less often than the School, although it may have been glitching for me. Either way, Berk fishing is more convenient.
• If you can see it, you can fly to it. Just click the keep flying button when it asks you where you want to go. Berk makes awesome hide-and-seek because its so huge, although you may leave the mapped area.
• Don’t obnoxiously fire-bomb people. It’s rude. However, if you and the other player both want to, jousting is perfectly acceptable.
• When first learning to glide I was severely confused because it doesn’t tell you how and you need to pass Flight Club to move on. Double tap the space bar and hold. Holding up will allow you to go farther.
• You can invert the flight controls by clicking the options menu.
• The shop is in the top right bar.
• Try to use the same computer to play the game to minimize wait time. If you need to clear your cache, that does not matter. You’ll probably need to load everything again anyway. (I have not tried this. If someone has experience to the contrary please correct this point.)
• No one is ever on from about 12-9 in the morning, EST. At least, that was the case yesterday.
